Biden to warn UK and EU do not imperil Northern Eire peace – BBC Information
Joe Biden has “deep” issues {that a} UK-EU commerce row might endanger peace in Northern Eire, his nationwide safety adviser Jake Sullivan has instructed the BBC.
The US president will inform leaders on the G7 summit that positive aspects made because the Good Friday Settlement have to be protected, Mr Sullivan mentioned.
The UK and EU are in dispute over checks on items going between Nice Britain and Northern Eire.
If no compromise is reached, there are fears of potential violence in Northern Eire.
President Biden can be arriving in Cornwall on Wednesday for the G7 summit, which begins on Friday – his first international journey since he took workplace.
