Cyclists injured in collision with vehicle in Chelsea

Police from MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais continued their investigation Friday into a collision between a vehicle and cyclists in Chelsea.

A news release from police said the collision at the intersection of Meech Lake and Kingsmere roads was reported just before 7 p.m. on Thursday.

One cyclist, a 32-year-old woman, was transported to hospital for treatment of injuries that were serious, but not life-threatening, the release said. A 31-year-old cyclist was treated in hospital for minor injuries.

A third unidentified cyclist narrowly avoided the collision, the release added, while the 53-year-old female driver of the vehicle was transported to hospital as a precaution for shock.
