Outstanding Dutch journalist Peter R de Vries, identified for investigating the felony underworld, has been shot and significantly wounded on a road in central Amsterdam.
The 64-year-old was shot minutes after leaving a TV studio, the place he had appeared on a chat present.
Mr de Vries is famed for his work on exposing mobsters and drug lords, and has helped police resolve quite a lot of high-profile instances.
