Gurkha British Military veterans combating for Covid care in Nepal – BBC Information
Covid has reached the remotest elements of Nepal – together with the mountain village of Barpak, which is dwelling to many British Military Gurkha veterans and their households.
For greater than 200 years, Gurkha troopers have been recruited straight from Nepal to combat for the British Military.
The UK-based charity Gurkha Welfare Belief, which helps veterans and their households, estimates there are greater than 20,000 veterans and widows residing in Nepal. It has been notified of 58 deaths from Covid.
