300 British troops have been deployed to Mali in west Africa. They’ve joined the United Nations peacekeeping mission to the nation.
It’s one of the harmful operations undertaken by the UN. Greater than 200 peacekeepers have misplaced their lives there because the mission started eight years in the past.
Mali is affected by an increase in violent Islamist extremism in addition to extreme poverty.
