Palestinian officers say 20 individuals have been killed in Israeli air strikes on Gaza following Hamas rocket assaults.
It comes on a day of intense violence between Palestinians and Israeli police on the Al Aqsa Mosque compound – which is without doubt one of the most delicate websites in Jerusalem. 300 Palestinians have been injured.
