The Ontario Provincial Police are on the scene of an unexplained “incident” at a motel in Trenton.
Officers are asking residents to avoid the area.
The OPP tweeted that officers from their Quinte West detachment were responding to the area of Dundas and Bay streets in Trenton for “an active and ongoing police investigation.
“Police are asking for people to avoid the area while the investigation continues.”
The area is alongside Highway 2, on the east side of the Gateway to the Trent Bridge, near Lang and Fetter Motors and Little Caesars.
OPP said more information would be released when it becomes available.
