OPP said Zacharie Robert Lamoureux was arrested without incident Tuesday with the help of the Ottawa Police Service’s tactical team.

He is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder with a firearm.

Police said two 16-year-old boys from Mississauga — Noah Nathaniel Annis and Alando Omario Davidson — were killed and a third 16-year-old, also from Mississauga, was injured in what investigators believed was a targeted shooting.

They said Lamoureux made an appearance before a court in Pembroke on Wednesday and was remanded into custody. His next court date was set for June 21.

Officers from the OPP’s Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment responded to a residence on Mackay Street in Pembroke shortly before 3 a.m. on May 22 and located two people with life-threatening injuries. Both individuals were transported to the hospital, where one person was pronounced dead. Another person was located deceased nearby.
