Police ask for help to ID two suspects in Laurier Avenue East robbery

The Ottawa police robbery unit is asking for the public’s help as it attempts to identify two suspects in a commercial robbery that took place April 14 on Laurier Avenue East.

At about 2:30 a.m., a male and female entered the store in the 200 block of Laurier, with the female demanding money and informing the clerk she had a weapon, police said in a news release. The clerk was not injured, but the two fled on food with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

The female suspect was described as white, 5-4, with an average build, brown hair and red glasses. She was last seen wearing a red bandana, a white jacket with a hood, blue and grey “Reebok” yoga pants, black “Vans” shoes and carrying a black bag.

The male suspect was described as white, 5-6 to 5-10 with a full beard, black shoes, tan pants and a black jacket with a grey hooded sweatshirt underneath.

Anyone with information about the incident was asked to contact the robbery unit at 613-236-1222, extension 5116.
