The 42.195-kilometre marathon and half-marathon are scheduled to start early Sunday morning.

One of the highlights on Saturday was an unofficial world record for Rejeanne Fairhead, 96, who established what would be a new 5K standard for women in the 95-plus age category by covering that distance in 51 minutes 9.1 seconds.

A year ago, Fairhead had established a previous Canadian record for 95-plus by walking the five-kilometre course in 58:52.

Saturday race winners included:

Kids Marathon — Male, Dalu Ezeigweneme, 3:45.1; Female, Zoe Adelaide, 3:54.1; Non-Binary, Logan Sampson-Scott, 4:53.1.

2K — Male, Cory Nagler, 6:23.1; Female, Jordi Vered, 7:55.1; Non-Binary, Leelee Hogg, 14:28.1.
