President Vladimir Putin has advised his French counterpart that the West has ignored Russia’s safety issues, amid fears Russia might invade Ukraine.
The US rejected a key Moscow demand that Nato rule out Ukraine becoming a member of the defence alliance – however insisted it was providing Russia a “diplomatic path”.
President Biden says Russia might invade subsequent month. German intelligence says Russia is ready to assault however has not but determined to take action.
Russia denies it’s planning an assault.
