President Biden has confirmed he’ll nominate a black lady to exchange retiring Justice Stephen Breyer.
He mentioned he’ll announce his nominee by the top of February. Three judges are thought of prime contenders: Ketanji Brown Jackson, Leondra Kruger and J Michelle Childs.
Mr Biden promised a substitute with the “expertise and integrity” wanted for the function.
Justice Breyer will stay on the courtroom till June.
