200,000 kids assaulted by French Catholic clergy over previous 70 years says report – BBC Information
A report into sexual abuse throughout the French Catholic Church has estimated that greater than 200,000 kids had been assaulted by clergy over the previous 70 years.
The impartial fee stated the church had been responsible of negligence, merciless indifference and institutional cover-up.
The report discovered that a lot of the abuse happened within the Nineteen Fifties and 60s – too way back for any perpetrator to face prosecution.
