It is usually cat videos which go viral for adorable feline antics—but this time, a man’s mere reaction to the animals was enough to delight internet users.
A video posted to TikTok by Sydnee Wahid (@sydneewahid) made a hilarious comparison between her husband’s face on their wedding day and his expression when he saw cats on their honeymoon—the latter appearing much more enthused. Since it was posted six days ago, it has received over 568,000 likes and more than 750 comments.
“It’s like he’s meeting a celebrity,” Wahid captioned the video, referring to her husband’s awed reaction to the cats.

Wahid, 24, told Newsweek about her relationship with her husband, Muizz, and what’s behind his feline fixation.
She said the video was influenced by another post she saw on TikTok. After seeing Muizz’s “genuine excitement” reaction to cats on their honeymoon, she felt inspired to recreate it. “When I showed it to Muizz, he had a big smile on his face, which spoke volumes about his genuine reaction,” Wahid said.
Her husband did not have any pets growing up, Wahid added, but the pair has fostered a mutual love for cats throughout their relationship. They share feline videos with each other and visit cat cafes to pet and interact with felines where they can. Due to job changes and relocation plans, the couple don’t yet have a cat of their own—which made the feline sightings on their honeymoon all the more novel.
Wahid’s capturing of Muizz’s demeanor around cats is emblematic of their relationship and the authenticity they enjoy in each other.
“I knew he was different from our first date,” Wahid said of Muizz. “We instantly clicked and could talk for hours. I always wanted to be with him because he brought so much happiness into my life, and I slowly fell more in love with him as we grew more comfortable showing our true, silly sides. I love the calmness he brings into my life and his never-ending jokes.”
The couple’s silliness was also apparent on their wedding day, when they made a last-minute decision about their wedding dance.
“We never seemed to prioritize a wedding dance and always knew we’d get around to it, but it was the day before the wedding and we still hadn’t decided on our dance routine,” Wahid said. “Our conclusion was to wing it, and so we did… We improvised our movements, following each other’s lead with twirls and dips. It’s a memorable moment that we have no regrets about.”
The couple’s sweetness and silliness persisted through their honeymoon, where Wahid’s viral video was shot.
