Bud Light has weighed in on the Taylor Swift buzz sweeping the NFL as she dates Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.

The pair went public with their relationship in September and she has regularly been seen at games supporting her man, including on Sunday when the Chiefs’ advanced closer to the Super Bowl by defeating the Buffalo Bills.

Kelce scored two touchdowns, assisted by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, during the team’s win which was celebrated by Swift and Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, who grabbed the singer in a big bear hug.

Sitting behind Swift was Kelce’s brother and Philadelphia Eagles player, Jason Kelce, who went viral for ripping his shirt off and swigging Bud Light after his brother’s first touchdown.

CBS broadcast the game and later shared a slow-motion version of the trio celebrating to X, formerly Twitter, and that was reposted by Bud Light.

“Don’t let anyone tell you differently, this is peak football watching form,” the beer brand captioned the post.

Bud Light is the latest company or person to be fixated with Swift’s presence at Chiefs’ games, which has seen a rise in viewership and sales of NFL merchandise.

The company has also enlisted Travis Kelce for various promotional campaigns after it faced a national boycott for partnering with transgender influencer, Dylan Mulvaney, in March 2023. It hired her to promote its March Madness campaign and also sent her personalized cans to mark the one-year anniversary of starting her gender-affirming transition.

In October, Kelce appeared in a promotion for the Bud Light sweepstakes, in which he sported a diamond chain and bespoke beer can pendant. While some conservatives were unhappy with the Chiefs tight end for working with Bud Light, they failed to recognize he has a long history of supporting LGBTQ+ rights.

He appeared in a Bud Light campaign in July, months after the Mulvaney controversy began and previously said he would support any teammate who came out as gay.

“Anybody in this world [can play]. I’m comfortable with who I am and I expect everyone to be comfortable with who they are. I respect people for their views and opinions,” Kelce told Outsports in 2017.

Kelce and Swift were first seen in public as a couple when she attended a Chiefs game in Kansas City, Missouri in September.

But she revealed they had already been dating for months at that stage.

“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” Swift told Time in December. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.

“By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard-launch a first date,” Swift added.
