We all have embarrassing yearbook photos that we’d rather pretend never existed. Much like one cat who has been thrust straight into the internet’s spotlight after the photo he had taken for his veterinary center report card went viral.

The cat’s Chicago-based owner had posted a short video clip of the hilarious report card cover to TikTok, sparking plenty of laughter online and new interest in the cat from across the globe.

The viral video, which has been viewed more than 363,000 times since it was shared to TikTok on March 11, offered viewers a clear glimpse at the report card and the image of the smiling cat on its cover.

“My cat’s vet office photo,” the cat’s owner, Sedona, said.

Sedona, who goes by @sedonabchi, captioned the post, “My boy is smiling through the pain.”

The cat was captured sitting inside a red pram with a smile on his face. His owner had shared that the now widely-circulated photo had been taken for the cat’s physical exam report card. The feline had likely been seen by his veterinary center for a general health assessment or is receiving care for a specific condition.

What Do the Comments Say?

Since it was shared to the social media platform on March 11 by @sedonabchi, the TikTok post has been liked by more than 55,000 users and commented on more than 100 times, making it the cat’s mom’s most viewed TikTok post to date.

TikTok users have been quick to join in on the fun in the comments section of the post. While some users joked that the cat could have been in the middle of trying to articulate something when the picture was taken, others gushed over his cute looks.

“I’m a vet nurse and some of the pictures we have are HILARIOUS. I purposely make them goofy and cute,” one user, who goes by @genitaliens on the platform, wrote.

Another TikTok user, @itsmetemp, added: “He was mid sentence!”

“Okay, but I actually see this so much he was trying to tell mama all about it,” the cat’s owner replied.

@_weirdscience shared: “I just know he’s the bestest boy.”

The cat’s owner responded: This comment may have made my heart and eyes tear up [because] he is and thank you for the reminder when he’s yapping.”
