China has condemned a deliberate US diplomatic boycott of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing and threatened to retaliate.
International ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian stated China would take “resolute counter-measures”, however didn’t give additional particulars.
On Monday, the US stated it could not ship diplomats to Beijing over considerations about China’s human rights file.
It added that US athletes may go and would have full authorities help.
