The internet has fallen in love with a dog who’s obsessed with carrots. The 2-year-old black Labrador named Sully had shared his fondness for the root vegetable in a viral social media video, which captured him responding with excitement to his owner’s mere mention of the word

“His love for carrots is deep, and it’s a core component to his morning routine,” Sully’s owner, Tori told Newsweek. “We started freezing carrots when he was teething as a puppy because it’s a great way to redirect biting and happens to help with teeth brushing too.

“To this day, he loves a frozen carrot, and while it doesn’t take nearly as long to eat as it did when he was a puppy, it still keeps his breath smelling fresh and serves as a healthy (and refreshing) treat,” she said.

The viral video, which has been viewed by more than 600,000 users since it was first shared to TikTok by @SullyTheBlackLab on November 3, filmed the “vivacious” dog sprinting to his carrot-eating spot in the living room after his owner said the name of the vegetable.

While the dog’s obsession with carrots has led to plenty of laughter online, his owner says that the vegetable has the added benefit of keeping his pearly whites bright.

“One comment that Sully often gets is how white his teeth are, and frozen carrots are the main contributor to that. Even his vet will comment how great his teeth look and asks if we brush them, I tell them it’s just his frozen carrot a day,” Tori explained.

Sully loves carrots so much that snacking on one has become part of his morning routine and something that he looks forward to every single day.

“Sully knows the drill. We wake up, go potty, have breakfast, cuddle for a bit on the couch, and after 20 minutes or so of that, he’ll wonder where his carrot is,” Tori said.
