Cats and dogs are known for not getting along, but in reality many of them do, and some become like siblings.

A dog walker has melted hearts on social media after sharing a clip of one of the dogs she walks and her hilarious cat sister, who felt the need to protect her. In a post shared on TikTok on Thursday under the username thecrazydoggirl, the poster can be seen wearing a dog carrier with a chihuahua called Great inside, taking her for some fresh air at the park.

She explains that Greta isn’t actually walking because she is 16 and doesn’t really do much of it anymore, although when she does, it’s mostly through the use of her carrier.

As the two walk, the poster starts noticing something strange, like someone following them, and she was indeed right.

“Apparently their cat likes to come along. are you kidding me?” she said, as she turned to the cat and said: “Are you coming with us?”

The post comes with a caption that says: “This is the best thing ever I can’t even.”

As proved by Greta and her sister in the clip, cats and dogs can live together without any issues, and even become best of friends. It’s all about introducing them the right way, so neither of them thinks they’re invading the other’s space.

Newsweek previously explained that taking things slowly will help to avoid bad first impressions.

At least in the beginning, they will each need their own space in the house where they can stay away from each other, and it is also important to not let them interact without supervision until they’re comfortable enough.

If you notice defensive behaviors, such as hissing or growling, it means you need to take a step back and give them more time.

The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across Instagram. It has so far received over 339,500 views and 67,100 likes on the platform.

One user, Dani commented: “The cat is making sure you aren’t stealing her dogs.” And space_windu47, said: “When I walk my friend’s farm dogs, all the barn cats come along so I look like the gd pied piper with 2 dogs and 8 cats following me.”

Kayewhite_ added: “Why did I assume it was a large dog and you were going to put her in a back pack or something. Very relieved for you she was so small.”
