Witnesses in Donald Trump’s criminal case in Manhattan make for a “powerful case” against him, a legal expert said this week.
While appearing on CNN’s News Central on Tuesday, Norm Eisen, the former White House ethics czar, spoke about the different witnesses in Trump’s case brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for alleged hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016.
“I think that the prosecution, Alvin Bragg, has a powerful case here,” Eisen, who counseled Democrats in Trump’s first impeachment, said. “If they’re calling Hope Hicks, if they’re calling these other witnesses, it’s because they meticulously put together a case that they’re gonna present to the jury of how Donald Trump allegedly…kept vital information from the voters in the 2016 election.”
This is a developing story that will be updated as more information becomes available.
