Dutch police have shot and wounded no less than two folks after rioting erupted in Rotterdam over new Covid-19 measures.
Protesters threw rocks and fireworks at them and set police vehicles ablaze.
Tons of of protesters had gathered to point out their anger at authorities plans for a Covid vaccine go, and a ban on fireworks on New 12 months’s Eve.
The Netherlands imposed a three-week partial Covid lockdown final week as instances surged.
Seven folks had been injured and no less than 20 arrested in an evening condemned by Rotterdam’s mayor as “an orgy of violence”.
