Michael Steele, the former chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC), took Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump, to task over her proposal for the use of RNC should she become co-chair of the organization.
Lara Trump previously told Newsmax she will spend “every single penny” on Donald Trump if she is elected co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC).
Steele commented Sunday morning on MSNBC’s The Weekend, “I will start by saying: wrong answer. That is not the number one responsibility of the RNC to elect Trump. The number one responsibility is to elect every candidate on the ballot on behalf of the party.”
