Greek island evacuated as wildfires rage in worst heatwave for 30 years – BBC Information
A whole bunch extra residents and vacationers have been compelled to depart a Greek island as wildfires rage uncontrolled throughout the area.

Scorching temperatures have blighted a lot of southern Europe and Greece itself is seeing the worst heatwave in 30 years.

The area north of Athens – and Avia – the nation’s second-largest island, are among the many worst-affected areas. Ferries are serving to evacuate residents and holidaymakers.

Clive Myrie presents BBC Information at Ten reporting by Europe Correspondent, Bethany Bell in Avia.
