‘Heroic efforts’ of Liverpool taxi driver praised following hospital explosion – BBC Information
A Liverpool taxi driver’s “heroic efforts” averted what may have been an “terrible catastrophe” on Remembrance Sunday, town’s mayor has stated.

His cab pulled up exterior Liverpool Girls’s Hospital and exploded simply earlier than the nationwide two minutes’ silence at 11:00am GMT in what has been declared a terrorist incident.

Mayor Joanne Anderson praised the cabbie, named regionally as David Perry, for “locking the doorways” earlier than the blast.

The taxi passenger died on the scene and Mr Perry was taken to hospital.

Three males have been arrested beneath the Terrorism Act, whereas MI5 is aiding regional counter-terrorism police.
