Travis Kelce has yet to publicly share his reaction to The Tortured Poets Department — Taylor Swift’s double album — but fans think they have his response all figured out.

As soon Swifties hit play at midnight on Friday, April 19 — and again, two hours later once Swift surprise-dropped the second half of the record — they couldn’t help but make fun of what they believe to be Kelce’s response. Especially because many of the tracks on TTPD appear to be about Matty Healy, with whom Swift had a short-term relationship between her split from Joe Alwyn and getting together with Kelce.

“Travis while listening to Taylor sing 31 songs about Matty Healy,” one social media user tweeted alongside a photo of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end looking angry on the football field.

“Travis Kelce listening to TTPD,” another person wrote via X (formerly known as Twitter) accompanied by a GIF of SpongeBob Squarepants‘ Squidward looking around nervously.

Squidward appeared to be a popular reaction GIF choice, as a third person used a photo of the cartoon squid laying in bed listening to the album. “Travis listening to Taylor wistfully lamenting about her whirlwind romance with Matty Healy,” they wrote.

A fourth fan used a reaction photo of Swift biting her lip and looking serious to illustrate their tweet. “Travis hearing these songs about how matty is apparently her greatest love she’s willing to give up everything for,” they penned.

Others preferred to imagine Kelce’s reaction to the songs thought to be about him, like “The Alchemy” and “So High School.”

“Travis listening to so high school #TSTTPD,” another X user wrote, followed by a GIF of a football player laying down on the field and kicking his feet excitedly.

“Travis Kelce listening to The Alchemy #TTPD,” a fan tweeted, using a screenshot of a viral Euphoria scene. “Wait. Is this f—king play about us?”

Fans were initially shocked to hear so many songs seemingly about Healy on the album, which many predicted would be about Swift’s six-year-long relationship with Alwyn and their subsequent breakup. (To be fair, “So Long, London,” “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” and “loml” are thought to be about Alwyn.)

While Alwyn, Healy nor Kelce have publicly responded to the album after it’s release, Kelce’s mom, Donna, showed her own subtle support for TTPD by “liking” Swift’s Instagram post about the double album. Travis, for his part, already expressed his admiration for the few songs he heard before the record was released.

“It is unbelievable, I can’t wait for her to shake up the world when it finally drops,” he shared during a Super Bowl press conference in February.
