Tony Bobulinski, the former business partner of Hunter Biden, excoriated the president’s son during closed-door testimony on Tuesday before both the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees.

Bobulinski is a retired U.S. Navy lieutenant and the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings, which he testified in October is a partnership involving Chinese energy company CEFC and members of the Biden family—including Hunter and President Joe Biden’s brother, James Biden. Bobulinski said he met with President Biden in 2017.

“Hunter Biden’s lawyers should focus their energy on the facts and the extensive indictments Hunter is fighting versus creating smoke screens and distractions with their empty threats,” Bobulinski said during his opening statement, according to multiple reports. “I have only told the truth, I continue to tell the truth, I have the facts and, as we will discuss today, I also have the receipts to back them up.”

Hunter Biden has been a focus of the House GOP’s ire since they took over the majority, with the Republican-led House Oversight and Judiciary Committees repeatedly making various allegations about Biden’s purported ties with foreign agents claimed to have led to financial benefits for him and his family.

In December, the House of Representatives opened an impeachment inquiry into President Biden in relation to the claims, which purport that he used his influence to improperly support the business activities of his son while serving as vice president between 2009 and 2017. The president has vehemently denied the claims and called the impeachment proceedings a “waste of everyone’s time.”

“Why is Joe Biden blatantly lying to the American people and the world by claiming that he did not meet with me face to face?” Bobulinski told Fox News Digital in December. “He should call his son Hunter and brother Jim as they can remind him of the facts. The American people deserve the truth!”

In his testimony, Bobulinski said that it is “clear” the president was “‘the brand’ being sold by the Biden family.”

“Joe Biden was more than a participant in and beneficiary of his family’s business; he was an enabler, despite being buffered by a complex scheme to maintain plausible deniability,” Bobulinski said, according to a transcript.

Bobulinski has become a key figure in the Republicans’ probe into Hunter Biden, but his claims have come under scrutiny. James Gillar, an associate of the Biden family, told the Wall Street Journal that he was “unaware” of Biden’s involvement, and Rob Walker, another associate, told the Oversight Committee that Biden was “never involved” in Hunter’s business.

Walker also testified that Biden attended a meeting with CEFC chairman Ye Jianming and Hunter’s business associates in 2017.

Representative Jamie Raskin, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, said that Bobulinski “cherry-picked” the information he provided to the committee. Raskin also took issue with Bobulinski refusing to “engage with Democratic staff” and pointed to a previous statement when Bobulinski said he never discussed business dealings with Joe Biden.
