‘I Can’t Be With You’

Jenna Jameson’s estranged wife, Jessi Lawless, has characterized her time in their marriage as a “nightmare,” days after announcing their split.

Influencer and onetime hairstylist Lawless, who exchanged nuptials with former adult film star Jameson in May 2023, announced the end of their marriage in an emotional, since-deleted Instagram post shared last week.

“There are a lot of rumors going around that Jenna and I are getting a divorce, and I’m making this video to confirm that,” she said in the video at the time.

Lawless, 41, further claimed that she drew a “hard line” with Jameson, 50, when it came to her alleged drinking, after seeing that alcohol had led to “so many problems” in the former Playboy model’s life. She alleged that Jameson broke her sobriety vow with Lawless during a solo trip to Chicago.

“This is the first time she’s gone to an event without me since we’ve been married. This is the first time she’s been away from me,” Lawless said. “I’ve been keeping her on the straight and narrow. She goes to Chicago, and she starts drinking. And then when I confronted her about it, she was definitely trying to lie about it until I told her that I had pictures.”

“She admitted it, obviously,” Lawless went on to allege. “I didn’t even really have the pictures, I just told her I did. I knew she was drinking.”

Lawless accused Jameson of having “no remorse” for her actions, adding: “She told me point-blank, ‘I’m not sorry. I don’t feel sorry.’ I’m crying, literally tears running down my face, begging for some sort of remorse from her. And she had none. She just wanted to turn it around and blame me.”

“I don’t know how it’s my fault, but maybe I shouldn’t have had such high expectations,” added Lawless, clarifying that she had filed to annul the marriage.

Shortly after the video was shared, Jameson wrote in an Instagram Story post of her own: “I keep it classy.”

On Sunday, Lawless shared an Instagram Story post in which she accused her estranged wife of trying to get her attention, while also painting an unflattering picture of their brief union.

“I see the lies,” she wrote. “I’ve gone no contact with her & she’s losing her mind over it, poking at me and doing things to make me call her. I won’t.”

Addressing her video announcing the demise of the couple’s marriage, Lawless went on: “I was wrong for taking this public in the first place but I know what she’s capable of and I lived the nightmare daily with her.

“I love her very much, but she is terrible for my mental health & has made me question being on this earth the past few days. I am breaking this cycle. Love you baby, but I can’t be with you. I’m moving on & refuse to speak about this again. Thanks to everyone who can see thru her pattern.”

On April 19, Jameson took to Instagram to share a photo of herself lying in bed while wearing lingerie. The post included a Chicago geotag.

“Never sacrifice your dignity to get even with someone who has none,” Jameson captioned the post.

A day later, on April 20, she posted a photo of herself working out, alongside the caption: “Healing can be so hard when your inner child wants love, your teenage self wants revenge, and your current self only wants peace.”

Newsweek has contacted Lawless and a representative of Jameson via email for comment.

Jameson kicked off speculation of a romance with Lawless in November 2022, when she shared a photo showing her tattooed arms resting against those of another person. Later that month Jameson posted an image that showed her tattooed arm resting against Lawless’ face and neck, writing: “She’s the one #mypringle.”

The two confirmed their romance in February 2023, before going on to tie the knot in a Nevada ceremony in May of that year.

During her relationship with Jameson, Lawless relocated from Florida to Nevada. Jameson, who has been living with an as-yet-undiagnosed illness for more than two years, had previously been based in Hawaii.

Jameson was previously in a relationship with former longtime fiancé Lior Bitton. The exes share a 7-year-old daughter, called Batel Lu. Jameson also shares twin sons, who were born in 2009, with UFC icon Tito Ortiz, from whom she split in 2013.

Jameson has previously been married twice. She exchanged nuptials with fellow adult film star and porn studio Wicked Pictures director Brad Armstrong in December 1996. Her union with Armstrong lasted just 10 weeks.

Despite her informal separation from Armstrong in March 1997, Jameson continued to work with her ex, because of contractual obligations with Wicked Pictures. The two didn’t legally separate and divorce until 2001.

She then tied the knot in 2003 with adult film star Jay Grdina, who performed under the name Justin Sterling. They went their separate ways in the summer of 2006.
