Israeli Ambassador Michael Herzog said it is “unhelpful” for an ally of the Middle Eastern country to comment on its “domestic political scene” after Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, a New York Democrat, called for new elections in Israel and said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was an “obstacle to peace.”
