Less than a month after retiring from the NFL, Jason Kelce has new goals — including some focused on his health.

Speaking to brother Travis Kelce and Arnold Schwarzenegger on the Wednesday, April 3, episode of the Kelces’ New Heights podcast, Jason, 36, shared his decision to cut weight while speaking about a mostly vegan diet with Schwarzenegger, 76, who was inspired by director James Cameron to go nearly all plant-based when it comes to his own diet.

“I’m in the process right now — I’m retired. I played my whole career [at] 295 [pounds]. I’m trying to get down to 250, 260,” Jason said. “My goal is two pounds every week, lose it. I want to lose it, but maintain my muscle mass.”

As for how he’s losing the weight, the former Philadelphia Eagles center explained to Schwarzenegger that he’s “trying to monitor my protein, my carbs, my fats and make sure that I’m hitting at least one pound per body weight,” asking the retired bodybuilder: “Is this the model?”

Schwarzenegger — who admitted to still loving wienerschnitzel (breaded veal) from his home country of Austria — advised Jason: “The most important thing is that you slowly decrease the body fat and increase the body muscles. You just switch. It doesn’t just have to do with the weight.”

Jason’s other retirement projects have yet to be revealed. Weeks after the athlete gave a heartfelt and tear-filled speech announcing his retirement — one that touched on the brotherhood he felt with his teammates, the city of Philadelphia, and his own brother, Travis — his wife, Kylie Kelce, discussed her husband’s potential in whatever he decides to do next.

Kylie, who has been married to Jason since 2018, revealed on the Today show on Monday, April 1, that the athlete is “so good at everything he tries” — to the point where it’s occasionally “a pain in the butt” — that “nothing is off the table” when it comes to his retirement plans, which many think will include broadcasting.

“He’s an ideas guy, so I think he’s just sort of letting them brew and see what happens,” she said.

As for his brother’s fitness routine, Travis reportedly hit up DOGPOUND gym with girlfriend Taylor Swift in Malibu, California, last week. While their visit to the fitness center drew some backlash — members claimed to have been forced to wait outside during Swift and Travis’ private two-hour workout — the establishment denied the allegations, telling Page Six on March 26 that they’ve “never had anyone wait outside for 2 hours.”
