The Jonas Brothers latest Instagram video is sparking backlash after the band announced they were postponing the European leg of their “Five Albums. One Night” world tour.

“We have shifted the European dates to later this year,” Nick Jonas, 31, said in the brief clip shared to the Jonas Brothers official Instagram account on Wednesday.

“But that is only because we have some exciting projects coming that we’re very excited to share with you at a later point.”

Nick, flanked by his brothers and fellow band members Joe Jonas, 34, and Kevin Jonas, 35, said the group “can’t wait to see their European fans.”

“It’s been long overdue,” the singer continued. “And we are so excited to play these shows later this year in the fall.”

Kevin told fans to “hold onto your tickets,” as more information will be released soon.

Concluding the video, Nick added: “Thank you for your love and support over all the years,” directing people towards jonasbrothers.com for additional details.

Newsweek reached out to the Jonas Brothers via email for comment.

The announcement upset many fans, with one user commenting: “This is absolutely not okay!!”

“This is so disrespectful!” agreed @carolinealicep.

“Anyone have ‘Jonas brothers cancelling themselves’ on their 2024 bingo card?” said @leftmyheartinsanfrancisco.

According to the caption, purchased tickets will be “honored for the new date.” However, many people said they would lose the money they had already spent on pre-arranged travel and accommodation costs.

“It is UNBELIEVABLE that you are cancelling dates where the majority of the attendants are coming from different cities and even f****** countries,” wrote one user.

“My accommodation reserved for the occasion will not be reimbursed, nor my train ticket,” said @lise_lehm.

“Nice to see you care more about money [than] your fans,” commented Rachael.

“Cancelling for unavoidable circumstances is understandable but prioritising other projects isn’t justifiable,” agreed @kathrynleannepreston.

Other fans complained about the lack of apology in the caption, with @ario_saramolki writing, “Not even a sorry for the fans???”

“Imagine not giving a sincere apology,” said @mccnamour.

“Funny how y’all can write a whole song and name it ‘Sorry’ but can’t even say sorry in this post,” wrote @emmamsoto, while @moonagedaydreamtoo said, “Honestly thinking about quitting being a fan.”

The Jonas Brothers confirmed they are still going ahead with the Latin American leg of their tour, telling fans in the caption: “We can’t wait to see you next week!!”

“Five Albums. One Night” is the band’s 12th world tour, and their third since reuniting in 2019 after a six-year hiatus. The former Disney stars first began performing in 2005 but split in 2013, reportedly due to creative differences and poor ticket sales.

The tour, which began in August 2023, is to promote the brothers’ sixth studio album, The Album, and is now set to conclude in Krakow, Poland, in October.
