Justin Mohn, a 32-year-old man who was arrested for allegedly decapitating his father, filed a lawsuit against the United States after he couldn’t get a job as an “overeducated white man,” according to court documents.

Mohn was arrested on Tuesday night in Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania, and charged with first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse and possession of an instrument of crime with intent.

Sources familiar with the investigation told The Philadelphia Inquirer that the murder victim was Mohn’s father, Michael, and that his head had been removed. Mohn allegedly posted a graphic video on YouTube displaying a severed head that he said belonged to his father.

Mohn graduated from Penn State University in May 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness management, which he paid for with student loans.

In a lawsuit, Mohn alleged that he should get more than $10 million from the United States because his degree “did not lead to better jobs or higher pay, but rather disadvantaged him because he was perceived as an ‘overeducated, white male’ and ‘affirmative action’ policies hurt his career chances,” according to court documents filed in March 2023.

This was the fourth time Mohn tried to sue the United States on the claims and all four have been rejected by the courts.

This is a developing story and will be updated as information becomes available.
