Kate Middleton lookalike Heidi Agan weighed in on what appears to be the first sighting of the duchess amid her mysterious whereabouts.

Agan — who bears such a striking resemblance to the Princess of Wales, 42, that she professionally impersonates her — believes it was “100 percent” Middleton who was seen walking with Prince William at a farmer’s market in Windsor, England, over the weekend, she told TMZ on Tuesday, March 19. In any case, it wasn’t Agan, who was working a dance school 80 miles away from Windsor, the outlet reported.

“Today’s been a really crazy day because people think that I’m Kate Middleton in the video that’s now online,” Agan shared in the TMZ interview, explaining that she’s repeatedly revealed her “alibi” — quotes hers — that she was working. “I haven’t received any threats at all,” she added, while also noting, “people are concerned about the whereabouts of Kate Middleton.”

While amateur internet sleuths have been absolutely glued to every possible Middleton conspiracy out there — the royal’s recent Photoshop admission, her mysterious “abdominal surgery,” and the fact that she hasn’t been seen in public in months have all provided plenty of fodder for conspiracies and jokes — those going about their daily lives are equally as invested.

“I walked into a place on Saturday and the whole place erupted,” Agan told TMZ. “Like, ‘Kate Middleton’s here!'”

While the royal family has been under scrutiny for decades if not centuries — particularly in the wake of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s 2020 split from the Firm — all focus has been on the Wales family as of late.

While King Charles’ cancer diagnosis has certainly made headlines this year, royal watchers have particularly been fixated on Middleton since her surprising “abdominal surgery” in January. Earlier this month, William and Middleton’s official Instagram account shared a photo of the princess and their three children in honor of the U.K.’s Mother’s Day — seemingly the first confirmed photo of Middleton after her surgery. However, after multiple news outlets questioned the picture’s authenticity, Middleton released a statement admitting to doctoring the image.

“Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing,” she said on March 11. “I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused.”

Days later, video footage of Middleton and William appeared to show the couple, who have been married since 2011, enjoying a stroll at the Windsor Farm Shop. Despite all of the theories concerning the princess’ disappearance from the public eye, Middleton was photographed and filmed with a smile on her face.
