Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has offered new campaign advice to Donald Trump amid his ongoing race in the 2024 presidential election.

“If I was giving advice to President Donald Trump, I would say move the focus onto President Biden. Bring President Biden out,” McCarthy said during an interview with Fox News’ America’s Newsroom. “Every time he [Biden] speaks, people see his weakness, he cannot solve his biggest problem, his age.”

McCarthy continued: “If I was President Trump, I would stop talking about Nikki Haley, I would just talk about the issues and I would challenge President Biden, every day, to a debate.”

Trump recently secured a victory in the Iowa caucuses as well as the New Hampshire primary, beating former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.

Since his victory, Trump has continued his criticism of Haley, suggesting that she should drop out of the race.

Newsweek reached out to Trump’s spokesperson via email for comment.
