Killing of MP Sir David Amess was terrorist incident, police say – BBC Information
UK PM Boris Johnson and Labour chief Sir Keir Starmer have laid flowers on the scene of the stabbing of Conservative MP Sir David Amess in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex.
Police are treating the assault as a terrorist incident, which can be linked to Islamist extremism. A 25-year-old British man is being held on suspicion of homicide.
Sir David had been holding considered one of his common Friday conferences along with his constituents at Belfairs Methodist Church when he was stabbed a number of occasions.
