A precious video of a kitten falling in love with her older doggy siblings has captured the internet’s hearts.

This owner, known on TikTok as @katedavidsun, has two very large dogs named Reese and Archie, but she recently welcomed home a kitten named Siggi. One would think that Reese and Archie’s stature would be enough to scare any tiny animal, but Siggi somehow knew they were family.

Siggi was falling in love with her doggy siblings. Between having a “serious discussion” on the couch to taking a snooze together, their relationship formed effortlessly, one that will last “for ever and ever.”

Both dogs have embraced their new role as older siblings. They have shown patience with Siggi and they let her hang out with them, unlike many older siblings do with their little brother or sister. Siggi loves playing with Reese’s tail, but he remains calm and gentle with her.

It is impossible to watch this TikTok video without tearing up over the adorable nature of their relationship, and the 220,500 others who watched would agree. The clip has received more than 35,900 likes and 182 comments.

“It is so apparent that you are the most incredible pet owner. Your animals are all so happy and love each other so much. It’s beautiful to see,” commented a viewer.

Another added: “I mean how do you get anything done in your house? I’d be crying any time I saw them together like this.”

The most important thing to remember when bringing together cats and dogs under one roof is to go slow with the introductions. You want every animal involved to feel safe. It is recommended to start their introductions as early as possible when they are puppies and kittens, but that is not always possible.

The American Kennel Club suggests keeping them separate for the first few days. This way, they will learn each other’s sounds and smells before they interact face-to-face. Try alternating which one has a majority of the house to get them both familiar with the space.

From there, you’ll want to build positive associations between the animals. You can place an item like a toy or blanket that smells like a cat into the dog’s area, or vice versa. Offer treats when you present the item, creating a positive association. You can then try feeding the dog and cat on opposite sides of a closed door after a few days.

When you believe they are comfortable with each other behind closed doors, then you have them meet face-to-face in a neutral location. Remember to keep the meetings short and sweet, and always supervise. Gradually, you will be able to have longer sessions, and in no time, they’ll live together in harmony; or, at least, they’ll tolerate each other.
