In a viral video, a woman has shared how her neighbor’s cat spends 95 percent of his time with her.

TikToker @kassidydstedman took to the video sharing app to tell the story of her and her neighbor’s cat Pinky.

In the video with 460,000 views, she explained: “My neighbor has literally no idea that her indoor-outdoor cat lives in my apartment like 95 percent of the time. Like 23 hours a day. He’ll leave my apartment for like one hour.”

“I think she thinks that he’s outside killing rats or climbing trees or you know, whatever cat business. Little does she know I have taught him like three different tricks. He naps with me every time I take a nap,” she explained in the video.

Pinky has become a regular feature in Kassidy’s apartment, and has been visiting for around 10 months now.

She explained she has tried to reach out to her neighbor about her cat’s visits: “I’ve tried to get in contact with her but, no avail.”

Pinky started getting in through the apartment’s cat door that he has since broken the lock on. Despite attempts to close it with tape and block it with boxes, Pinky always finds his way back.

In hundreds of comments people shared their reactions to the cat’s visiting habit.

“The idea of my cat having a side relationship is sending me,” said one commenter. While another wrote: “Let me find out my cat is spending time w another human instead of me. I would cry”

One viewer wrote: “He likes ur vibe.”

Other pet owners shared similar tales of their cats spending time with other people. “I swear sometimes my cat comes home smelling like another woman,” laughed one commenter.

Cats that go outside have varying territories, on average venturing between 900 and 1,600 feet from home. But some adventurous felines have been known to roam several miles from their base, while neutered cats are less likely to roam far from home compared to intact cats.

Some commenters were critical of Kassidy spending time with her neighbor’s cat, something that she addressed in a follow-up video.

“I do not have control over this, he broke the lock on my kitty door. It used to be locked, he broke it,” she emphasized.

“My neighbor does love him, by the way, and I’m not going to take my neighbor’s cat. Let’s all be nice to each other. Thanks,” she added.
