Cats always do what they want, and may get mad at you for disturbing or interrupting them. Recently a cat has gone viral after her owner shared a clip of her getting mad at the sound of a car horn.

In the viral video, shared on TikTok on Sunday, under the username geelongfluffycrew, the calico cat can be seen napping in her bed, which is attached to the inside of a window, enjoying the peace and quiet. But the peace is shattered by her mom pulling into the driveway and honking at her.

At the sound of the horn, the cat immediately raises her head to see what’s going on, before giving her mom a look of disapproval. The poster can be heard saying: “How dare you?”

The hilarious post, which quickly went viral on social media, comes with a caption that says: “Oh how rude, human. You tooted at me.”

Adult cats sleep an average of 16 hours a day, while newborn kittens can spend all 24 hours sleeping, according to Oakland Veterinary Services. Cats mostly sleep to conserve energy because, as hunters, that’s a behavior they have inherited from their bigger ancestors.

They also sleep for other reasons. It may be because they are tired, or to help regulate body temperature, as well as for pleasure.

“Even if you own a strictly indoor cat, you’ll still see primal instincts from time to time. Cats in the wild spend an exorbitant amount of energy hunting and must rest after a chase. So, one of the basic reasons that explains why cats sleep so much is due to instinctual feline behavior,” the website explains.

The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 16.5 million views and 2.3 million likes on the platform.

One user commented: “She said: ‘I DO beg your pardon?!'” And Julzlee50 said: “The way she turns her head to look at you, so finally the hooman returns.”

Carrierichardso49 asked: “Was it really necessary to bother beautiful Baby.” And Luke Eros added: “Ohh you home already? I just wanted five minutes to myself.”
