A social media video that captures a dog’s human-life characteristics has amused viewers online.

The viral video, which has been viewed more than 12.1 million times since it was first shared to TikTok on February 4, filmed the goldendoodle standing up at his owner’s kitchen counter and eagerly waiting for some food.

A few TikTok users have backed the dog’s owner, who goes by @yoimdave on the platform, by sharing their own takes on the intelligence of the goldendoodle breed.

“I know we’re all worried about AI taking over, but I think doodles are coming for us,” one user wrote.

Another user added: “Ah because doodles ARE human. I don’t know how, they just are. Their eyes?!? Like hellooo!!!”

“You can’t convince me that all golden doodles are humans in doodle suits,” a third user shared.

The post had been captioned: “Anyone else’s goldendoodle stand like a human?”

The goldendoodle breed is a cross between a golden retriever and a standard poodle. It’s not unheard of for miniature or toy poodles to be bred with golden retrievers to create miniature goldendoodle puppies.

Pet food brand Purina shared on its website that the goldendoodle breed is growing in popularity across the world after being developed “due to the success of the labradoodle” breed.

“The goldendoodle can be a first cross (with one retriever and one poodle parent), can be bred back to one of the original breeds or be two goldendoodles bred together, so there are varieties in size, shape, coat types and temperaments,” Purina says.

What Do the Comments Say?

Since it had been shared to the social media platform on February 4 by @yoimdave, the TikTok post has been liked by over 1.7 million users and commented on more than 9,000 times. Plenty of TikTokers have voiced their amusement at the viral moment in the post’s comments section.

“Sunny can’t walk in heels,” one user wrote.

Another user added: “Someone said golden doodles were sent by the government to spy on us and now I’m beginning to believe.”

“High heels on my tippies,” a third TikToker shared.

A different user commented: “She’s like ‘well if humans can do it, how hard can it be’.”
