The state funeral of former prime minister Brian Mulroney takes place at 11 a.m. Saturday morning at Notre-Dame Basilica in Old Montreal.

Mulroney, who was Canada’s 18th prime minister from 1984 to 1993, died in a Florida hospital on Feb. 29 after a fall at his home in Palm Beach. He was 84.

Eulogies will be offered by the former prime minister’s daughter and Ontario cabinet minister Caroline Mulroney, as well as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, former U.S. secretary of state James Baker, Quebec businessman Pierre Karl Péladeau, hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, and Jean Charest, former premier of Quebec.

A 19-gun salute will be conducted at the end of the ceremony from the Clock Tower Pier in the Old Port of Montréal.
