A TikTok user trying to film a car getting covered in snow instead captured a magical moment showing a stray cat enjoying the winter wonderland.

The sweet, stray cat was caught running around a street in the U.K., jumping for joy as the snow was falling. He was sliding along like an ice skater and had no hesitation about getting his paws wet from the snow.

The video, posted Sunday, looks as if it came straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie. And it serves as a reminder to all to enjoy the little things in life.

The clip was filmed in an area where the creator’s friend lives. The friend explained that local university students feed the stray cat when the feline comes into their homes. But the friend, unfortunately, cannot give the cat a home because his accommodations do not allow pets in the building, the creator wrote in the comments section.

The TikTok video, so full of life, has moved viewers’ hearts, receiving nearly 150,000 views and 26,500 likes.

“Oh to be a little cat playing in the snow,” said one TikTok user. Another commented: “Living his best life.”

“I’m so glad lil baby is having fun but I also wanna just give them a cuddle it must be cold!” wrote a third.

Newsweek reached out to the creator via TikTok for additional comment.

Keeping Strays Warm in Winter

It’s hard not to worry about stray cats as temperatures start dropping. While it is not realistic to expected people to bring these cats inside, there are plenty of ways to still care for them during the colder months.

The Humane Society of the United States recommends providing outdoor cats with a warm, dry, insulated shelter. People can construct a tiny home for these cats by using scrap lumber, storage containers or old doghouses. It should be lined with straw or newspapers that are changed out periodically to stay dry.

You can also leave out water and food bowls for the stray cats. Be cautious about where to place the food, as you do not want it to freeze or compromise the security of the cat’s shelter. And never place it inside the shelter since it could spill, leaving the cat’s “home” wet and cold.
