A TikTok user who found a litter of kittens in his parents’ backyard brought them home only for the sweet gesture to backfire once his male tabby cat saw them.
This cat owner decided to bring in the litter of kittens from the outside. He placed them in a box with a blanket at the bottom. He then allowed his adult orange cat to see the kitties, which he peered in from over the corner of the box. However, his actions clearly show he is not happy with the newest additions to the house, even if they are only there temporarily. The overlay text on the clip claims that he “hates them.”
The owner captured the moment his cat started hissing at the kittens, which was then posted to his TikTok account @jerelvasquez earlier this week. The owner responded when his cat hissed the second time, gritting his teeth and telling him to stop.
The viral video’s caption reads: “Ugh fatherhood.”
The older cat, thankfully, backed off and stepped away from the box after his owner told him to stop.

Other tips include giving your cat vertical space to climb and retreat when they don’t want to react, using positive reinforcement, reading their body language, and as always, go at their own pace.

The TikTok video quickly went viral and as of Friday afternoon, it has reached over 6.3 million views, 860,600 likes, and 5,732 comments.
“He’s just bitter cause they all look like him & there’s no denying,” one TikTok user wrote.
A second commented: “He realized he’s gonna have to pay child support.”
A third added: “He wants a DNA test. He don’t care they look just like him!”
A fourth TikTok user posted, “Those definitely his kids.”
