The 19-year-old man accused of killing six people, including four children, in Barrhaven last week is set to appear in court this afternoon.

Febrio De-Zoysa was arrested last Wednesday night and is charged with six counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.
De-Zoysa came to Canada as an international student, police say, and was living with the victims — also newcomers from Sri Lanka.

The victims:
- Darshani Dilanthika Ekanayake, 35-year-old wife and mother;
- Inuka, seven-year-old son;
- Ashwini, four-year-old daughter;
- Ranaya, three-year-old daughter;
- Kelly, two-month-old daughter;
- Gamini Amarakoon, 40-year-old family friend.
Ekanayake’s husband, Dhanushka Wickramasinghe, was the lone survivor of the attack. He was brought to a local hospital to recover from serious injuries.
Ottawa police chief Eric Stubbs told reporters last week that police believe an edged weapon/knife was used in the killings.
