Margot Robbie’s stunned reaction to a nude John Cena at the Academy Awards is taking over the internet.
Before presenting the award for Best Costume on Sunday night, Cena and host Jimmy Kimmel paid tribute to the infamous Oscar streaker, who stunned the audience with his naked form in 1974.
Creeping across the stage, the only thing hiding the wrestler’s manhood was the envelope revealing the winner.
Robbie clearly found the scene hilarious. After being shared by the account @FilmUpdates, a screenshot of the actress’s shocked grin went viral on X, formerly Twitter, receiving over 420,000 views in less than two hours.
The Context
Kimmel honored the 50th anniversary of streaker Robert Opel darting nude across the stage with a clip of the memorable moment.
The stunt confused presenter David Niven and shocked viewers watching at home, with Niven telling the crowd that’s: “Probably the only laugh that man will ever get in his life is by stripping off and showing his shortcomings.”
Setting up Cena’s entrance to present the Best Costume award, Kimmel said: “Can you imagine a naked man at the Oscars today?”
However, Cena seemed reluctant to come on stage, telling the comedian he’d changed his mind about their streaker gag. When Kimmel insinuated that Cena wrestles naked, the 46-year-old replied: “I wrestle in Jorts!”
“Jorts is worse than naked!” Kimmel shot back.
The WWE star eventually did bestow the Best Costume gong to Poor Things‘ Holly Waddington, swapping the envelope for a pink curtain.
