Marjorie Taylor Greene’s new book MTG, which claims to reveal “the battles she fights in the halls of Congress and beyond,” has plummeted down the Amazon bestsellers list in just over 24 hours.
According to figures from the retail giant the work is now just the 541,331st most popular book for sale on its website, ranked 9,914 in the ‘Women’s Biographies’ sector.
Ron Flipkowski, editor in chief of self-styled “pro-democracy news network” MeidasTouch, noticed the book was in freefall in the Amazon sellers list on Tuesday. Posting on X, formerly Twitter, he said: “Marge’s book dropped another 1,000 spots on Amazon in the last 24 hours.”
The reporter accompanied this with a screenshot showing Greene’s product had fallen to the 9,853th most sold book on the site, in position 71 for women’s biographies.
However, by 3 a.m. ET on Wednesday it had suffered a further dramatic decline, to the 541,331st position for books, while also being hit by a wave of negative reviews.
One reviewer, who gave the book one star out of five, wrote: “I was a huge supporter of MTG and voted for her 2 times. But this book is garbage.”
A second one-star review said: “I saw my neighbor throwing this book into the trash and ask him if I could read it first. Boy, what a boring mistake. This is book is far from any reality and full of imaginations. Don’t waste your time.”
A third posted: “America First? Printed in Canada. Filled with lies.”
Newsweek has approached Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for comment via telephone and voicemail message.
According to the publishers’ description, MTG “shares the story of her incredible ascension from small town business owner to MAGA firebrand! Known for her humor and honesty, MTG offers a never before seen glimpse at her decision to give up private sector success for public service, her unfiltered views on the most important issues facing our nation, and the personal sacrifices that come with being ‘the most dangerous woman in Washington.’ No other book pulls back the curtain on Washington, the swamp, and the Democrat political elite like MTG.”
Greene’s request to promote her book on Jimmy Kimmel’s show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, was brutally slapped down by the veteran talkshow host.
Posting on X Greene wrote: “Hey Jimmy Kimmel since most of your show content is your nonstop lies about me, why don’t you have me on your show?
“I’ll bring you a copy of my book and we can chat about what needs to happen to SAVE AMERICA!”

Kimmel, who Greene once reported to the police over a joke made on his show, replied: “I guess I’m a Hollywood libtard that’s part of the celebrity pedophile Satan club. Until she has a book to promote, then I’d love to swing by!”
In an interview with MeidasTouch host Ben Meiselas published on Saturday House Democrat Robert Garcia hit out at Greene, who he sits alongside on three committees.
Referring to the Georgia Republican he said: “Her antics are just getting worse and worse and worse. You’ve seen she’s trying to impeach just about everybody from the president to every single cabinet secretary.
“She’s has no idea what she’s actually doing, has no respect amongst any of her colleagues and is a really destructive force, but that’s the Republican party.”
