Megyn Kelly slammed some Republicans as “f***** losers” for fixating on abortion ahead of the 2024 presidential elections.

The journalist got passionate during a segment on her podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show, following the third GOP presidential debate and the party’s losses in the off-year elections on Tuesday, especially on the topic of abortion.

Democrats secured wins in Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, and Pennsylvania off the back of their support for access to abortion.

Kelly argued that Republicans lost big because of their fixation on the issue and needed to back off ahead of the presidential race.

“This was a terrible night for Republicans. I’ve seen a lot of Republicans out there saying, ‘Oh, it’s not that bad, here’s some silver linings.’ It was a bad night… I have no faith in our electoral system, and I have no faith in the Republican Party to turn any of this around,” she said on Wednesday’s show. “I have no faith in Republicans to come up with a winning message in the wake of Dobbs, which overturned Roe v. Wade, which continues to haunt them at every single election.”

Kelly added: “So I feel not optimistic today. It’s back to ‘I want to puke.'”

She later became fired up and labelled some GOP lawmakers as “f****** losers,” for their hardline stance on abortion.

“The Republican Party—I understand it’s a pro-life party—they’re too extreme for the voters. That’s irrespective of how any of us may feel on the life-choice issue,” she said.

“They are too extreme for the voters, even in states like Kentucky, and they’re gonna keep losing unless they come to that realization.

“This is going to be a gradual fight that they’re going to have to win bit by bit. They cannot win by saying ‘no abortions and no exceptions.’ It’s a f****** loser.”

Newsweek contacted Kelly’s representatives by email for comment.

People on X, formerly Twitter, were divided on Kelly’s comments.

“Megyn Kelly going off on abortion politics, then there are those of us who see issues, not just polls. This is why so many have left the two parties. How about what’s right & wrong instead of how it effects the next election?” wrote one person.

Another added: “A little bit of baby murder buys a lot of votes. I promise. No.”

A third commented: “Not wanting babies to die is too extreme for Megyn Kelly. In order to not ‘lose’ she wants us to compromise on ripping babies apart in the womb. If we do that, we are totally lost. We are no better than leftist.”

Kelly also used her show on Thursday to announce she would moderate the next GOP debate for Newsmax on December 6 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
