Near the border between Belarus and Poland, the BBC’s Europe correspondent Nick Beake discovered migrants stranded in a forest, with night-time temperatures dropping near freezing. A minimum of 4 persons are identified to have died.
This group are stranded in a forest and are compelled to sleep outdoors in near-zero temperatures.
EU members Poland, Latvia and Lithuania have every declared a state of emergency amid a surge of hundreds of individuals attempting to cross from Belarus.
