Any pet parent or foster family wants their new animals to feel at home, but that comes with time, patience and an understanding that they might not get the hang of it immediately.
One Boston terrier’s dad was going away for eight months, but instead of letting Freya go to the shelter, a family known on TikTok as @goth_pack decided to watch her for the time being. She needed time to get comfortable in her new environment and with her new dog siblings: a pug named Gus and a pit bull mix called Briggs.
Slowly but surely, Freya built up her confidence in her foster home until her dad returned, and with that newfound confidence came snuggle sessions. But the foster family pointed out in a March 29 TikTok video that her cuddles weren’t the most traditional for dogs.

The Boston terrier decided to lie right on top of Briggs. And not in a way that looks comfortable for either of them. She is perpendicular to his body, sprawled out over his neck.
Viewers can see in his eyes how confused Briggs is about the peculiar sleeping arrangement, but he accepts it and lets Freya rest. The owner even noted in the caption that Briggs is always very good with small dogs.
Newsweek reached out to @goth_pack via TikTok for additional comment.
‘Totally a Bostie Thing’
The precious TikTok video has received over 53,800 views, 10,000 likes and 24 comments, with people saying this is typical behavior for Boston terriers.
One viewer wrote: “Them both just staring into space slowly blinking knowing it’s not quite right but unsure what to do.”
Another wrote: “Older doggo’s like, ‘I didn’t ask for a weighted blanket.'”
“Not awkward…totally a bostie thing,” said one user.
This wouldn’t be the first time TikTok users got a chuckle out of how this dog breed sleeps. An owner shared how his Boston terrier sleeps throughout the night, when it is pure chaos. The dog was seen sprawling over his owner, just like this foster dog did with the pit bull mix.
It doesn’t matter the position, if they’re comfy they’ll sleep.
