A woman is missing in Memphis, Tennessee, after reportedly flying in to visit her boyfriend before Christmas.

Domonic Davis, 40, was last seen in the High Point Terrace neighborhood of Memphis on December 30, according to the Memphis Police Department.

Her mother told police that Davis flew into Memphis from Las Vegas to visit her boyfriend on December 24, Fox 13 Memphis reported. A December 22 post on Davis’ Facebook page indicates she may have flown to Memphis prior to Christmas Eve.

Davis’ mother said she became concerned when her daughter did not show up for church on December 31, according to the station. Davis’ mother also said that she had contacted her daughter’s boyfriend, who told her that he had put Davis out of his car near a pawn shop on Summer Avenue.

Officers reportedly checked the area and local hospitals and were unable to locate Davis. Newsweek has contacted the Memphis Police Department for comment via email.

Dozens of Davis’ friends and family gathered on Tuesday in the area where she was last seen, handing out missing persons flyers.

There, Davis’ mother told a Fox13 reporter that she believes her daughter is dead inside a property in the area.

“She’s in that house. I feel it in my gut,” she said.

Police have not confirmed Davis’ death.

However, some have posted tributes to her on social media while others have shared their hopes that she is found safe.

“I’m going to miss you so much,” one person wrote on Davis’ Facebook page.

“You will truly be missed,” another person wrote. “Such a beautiful and sweet person.”

Another wrote: “Sending my prayers up hoping for good news please.”

Davis’ last Facebook posts were on New Year’s Eve, including a 15-minute live stream.

“This year was a beautiful blessing to me,” she wrote in one post on Sunday. “I have absolutely nothing to complain about! Looking forward to the new year blessed and highly favored.”

In another, she added: “I use [sic] to look for the New Year parties. Not this time tho God been too good! Ima bring it on in at the church house! Start my year with a prayer and the Masters Plan.”

Police said Davis was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with “PINK” on the front of it and black pants.

She is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, with black hair in a braided hairstyle and weighing about 180 pounds.

Anyone who has seen Davis or knows of her whereabouts is urged to call the Memphis Police Department’s Missing Persons Bureau at 901-636-4441 or 901-545-2677.
