North West, the daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, has announced she is planning to release a debut album—and she could cash in big.

The 10-year-old shared the news at a listening party in Arizona for her father’s upcoming record, Vultures 2, on March 10. She told the crowd that her album is called Elementary School Dropout, which pays homage to her dad’s 2004 debut album, The College Dropout.

Now research conducted by social media marketing experts at Viralyft.com has found that North West’s TikTok followers skyrocketed by 700,000 from February 2024 to March 2024 amid the news of her debut album.

The study also found that her follower count has increased by 28 percent since March 2023, from 14.7 million to 18.8 million. This makes her potential earning of up to $30,134.75 per TikTok video.

“North West shows a passion for music and creativity, which is inspired by her dad Kanye West’s musical legacy. It’s fascinating to see how much more influential and earning potential North can achieve,” a spokesperson for Viralyft.com said about the findings.

“With the guidance of mum and mega-influencer Kim Kardashian, who manages her TikTok account, she’s already gained a massive platform and income stream at ten years old. It’ll be interesting to see if her followers dramatically increase and what her future earning potential is when her debut album releases.”

Newsweek reached out to North West through Kim Kardashian’s publicist for comment Friday.

North West’s announcement at the listening party was met with cheers from the crowd. Her rapper dad, who now goes by Ye, stood by her side, guiding her offstage afterward.

However, when the entertainment account Pop Base shared news of the album announcement on X (formerly Twitter), it was met with a mixed reaction.

“you can do anything as long as you’re rich and famous,” one person wrote.

“we don’t really care but it won’t flop because of nepotism,” said another.

“i’m praying she didn’t actually drop out of elementary school,” someone else commented.

“coming to save pop music,” a fourth X user posted.

A fifth added: “the princess is working omg.”

This isn’t North West’s first foray into music as she appeared on Ye’s two-part track “TALKING / ONCE AGAIN” from his album Vultures, which was a collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign.

In the song, North West raps the verse, “It’s your bestie, miss miss Westie / Don’t try to test me / It’s gonna get messy / It’s gonna get messy / Just, just bless me.”

In December, Ye was slammed online after footage emerged of him rapping explicit lyrics from one of the songs on the album as North West stood alongside him at a listening party in Miami. Video footage was shared on social media of the rapper wearing a black version of a Ku Klux Klan-style pointed hood as he rapped a controversial line from his track “Vultures.”

The song makes mention of West’s 2022 antisemitism controversy in the lyrics, which includes the line “How am I antisemitic? I just f***** a Jewish b****.”

North West was onstage alongside Offset, Kodak Black, and Chris Brown and was seen on video dancing as the line was repeated.

North West is the oldest of Ye and Kardashian’s four children. The exes also share Saint, 8; Chicago, 6; and Psalm, 4.
