Owner 5 Mins Late Serving Breakfast, Cat Takes Matters Into His Own Hands

The one thing almost every pet has in common is their ability to know exactly when it’s time to eat. Some pets will even start making noise an hour before to ensure their owners are well-informed that the next meal is quickly approaching.

But because owners are human and make mistakes, they are sometimes behind schedule, and a majority of owners have probably felt the wrath of being late. Their pets will disown them, staring into their souls. One orange cat was so fed up, he decided to take matters into his own paws.

The cat owner was five minutes late for breakfast time. For a very hangry cat, five minutes might as well be a week. The cat, known on TikTok as @mister.edwurd, was sick of waiting, which is why he decided to take food that was left out on the counter. Well, he tried. A box of pastry was up for grabs if only he could figure out a way to open it.

The caption reads: “I can’t stand this guy.”

The owner knew she was late in feeding him. She went out to get his food ready when she spotted him getting something for himself. His tiny little body was determined to get to the food, scratching at the box. And to think all that owners do for their pets, this is how they return the favor.

The hilarious February 21 TikTok video quickly reached viral status, bringing in nearly 4 million views, 651,300 likes, and 3,062 comments as of Friday.

“Bro acting like you ain’t feed him for dayyys,” commented one viewer. The audacity of the owner for being late.

“Bro was in survival mode….he’s trying,” said another.

And a fair majority of viewers had similar experiences: “This is literally how my orange cat behaves if I don’t wake up the second my alarms go off.”

Another added: “My orange cat would eat a whole loaf of bread at night we had to get a bread cover.” No food is safe in a house of cats.

After seeing her cat trying everything in his power to feed himself, she’ll most likely never be late for mealtime again.
